Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital CollectedTwo of them refused to treat Covid-19 patientsSix doctors of Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital were suspended on Saturday for either refusing to provide treatment to Covid-19 patients or failing to provide services at the hospital. They have been temporarily suspended under the Government Service Rule 2018, Clause 12, following the directive of the secretary (healthcare division) of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Director (administration) of DGHS Belal Hossain said upon receiving the letter from Kuwait Friendship Government Hospital the directorate had taken the decision. All six were suspended and were informed through two letters -- two through one and four others through another letter. Among the doctors who were suspended three are medical officers, two junior consultants, and one resident doctor.
