At least six people have been killed following a head-on collision between a 14-seater matatu and a private car in Githunguri, Kiambu County. Witnesses said three people who were in critical condition were rushed to the nearest hospital. "Wanakijiji walisaidia kuokoa watu (Residents helped in rescuing the victims)," a witness said. Some of the injured were taken to Kiambu Level 5 Hospital where they are being attended to. Witnesses said the the private vehicle was speeding before it collided with the passenger vehicle.
