Six Sarawak Immigration officers charged with corruption - Nation


KUCHING: Six Sarawak Immigration officers were charged with corruption in the Special Corruption Court here on Monday. They were charged separately with receiving bribes ranging from RM200 to RM1,000 from one Fazal Illahi Juma Gul under Section 165 of the Penal Code. Two of the officers, Gracy Bohan and Norhaliza Hussein, claimed trial to two counts of corruption. Gracy, 34, allegedly received RM100 through online money transfer on April 22 last year and another RM100 on Dec 25. Norhaliza, 32, was charged with receiving RM100 through bank transfer on Jan 1 this year and RM500 on Dec 27.
