Every year the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) hosts one of the most influential annual conferences in the healthcare industry. Yes, new markets are burgeoning for technology in healthcare and HIMSS reveals that. The exhibit hall wouldn’t fit in the state of Florida, much less squeeze into the Orlando Convention Center. But at least for the time being, technology in healthcare is a young enough phenomenon to convene the marvelous HIMSS spectacle. Today EMRs are everywhere, and the exhibit hall was filled with exciting new functions and innovations.
