NewsA Sri Lanka Navy vessel from Kankesanthurai Naval Base that was out on patrol yesterday picked up six Indian fishermen who were swimming in Sri Lankan territorial waters. The fishermen had explained that their vessel had sunk after an accident in the high seas. The Indian fishermen, between the ages of 26 and 43, are from Tamil Nadu. They were handed over to the Kankesanthurai Police for further investigations last night. The arrested fishermen are due to be produced before the Mallakam Magistrate's Court today.
