Six Christchurch prisoners charged with riotingJOHN KIRK-ANDERSON/FAIRFAX NZ The Christchurch Men's Prison inmates have been charged with rioting. Six inmates at Christchurch Men's Prison have been charged with rioting over an incident in which four Corrections staff were allegedly attacked. They all appeared by video-link from the prison at the Christchurch District Court on Thursday and were remanded in custody without plea. The group, all aged between 22 and 28, are jointly charged with taking part in the November 9 riot. The men each face up to three charges of injuring or assaulting Corrections staff with intent to injure.
