Australian opener Warner's stairwell altercation with de Kock at Kingsmead in Durban overshadowed their victory on day four of the first test. Australian media has alleged derogatory comments were made about Warner's wife, Candice, by the Proteas wicketkeeper/batsman, causing him to explode in anger. South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis said "there was a lot of personal stuff being said" by "both parties". Warner's wife and his two young children are on tour with him in South Africa.
