Sisi inspects progress of Integrated Transport Center project in Cairo

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Friday inspected developmental progress on the Integrated Transport Center project, located north of the Suez Road intersection with the Ring Road opposite of the Cairo International Airport. The president ordered that the center’s international station feature services with the latest technology, and have a large enough capacity to complement the development of the surrounding road network to accommodate traffic to and from the center. The Suez Road was developed to be at a width of nine traffic lanes for each direction, while the road supporting the Ring Road was developed to be eight lanes at each direction – in addition to the construction of a new road linking the Ring Road, Suez Road and Mohamed Naguib Corridor. The Integrated Transport Center includes all components for transporting citizens and travelers, including an international bus station, a regional transport station, a commercial center, an administrative complex, entertainment areas and restaurants, a hotel, in addition to the workshops of the fourth subway line. Its proximity to the Cairo International Airport enables ease of movement for domestic and international travelers and reduces traffic.
