Sir Ben Ainslie and his British SailGP team showed new speed in winning the Bermuda regatta. SailGP organisers are crediting their new wingsail for helping Sir Ben Ainslie smash their speed record. They achieved their record speed in a bear away rounding the first mark after blasting across the short, opening reach. "Going round and hitting the F50 record racing speed of 94.8 kmh, with all the fleet rounding the mark super close, just shows us the development of these boats. Ricky Wilson/Stuff American Magic’s ill-fated Patriot set the record racing speed for an AC75.
