Taoiseach Leo Varadkar was speaking on the final day of a major government trade mission to South Korea (Niall Carson/PA)Sinn Féin’s foreign policy would weaken Ireland’s influence in the world and damage relations with countries like the United States, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has warned. “I do think generally Sinn Féin’s foreign policy would weaken Ireland's influence in the world,” Mr Varadkar said in Seoul on Friday morning. Sinn Féin representatives, including party chair Declan Kearney, have engaged with and met with Hamas on a number of occasions in recent years. Hamas’s head of international relations spoke at an online event hosted by Sinn Féin which was opened by Ms McDonald in 2020. “I think it's fair to say that most political parties in Ireland wouldn't platform terrorist organisations on their social media,” Mr Varadkar added.
