Though originally from Guangzhou in south China, Wendy has not been back in years. He asked for Wendy's Chinese ID number and told her she was a suspect in a large scale fraud. He told Wendy that she needed to go back to China for trial or risk being deported from New Zealand. However, at the end of May, the "officer" told her that the prosecutor was arrested and needed just over $200,000 for his bail.
