"It was very important to me to get back right to where it all started," says singer-songwriter Steven Bowers. Bowers is originally from western Newfoundland, but he's built his decades-long career mostly in the Maritimes and western Canada. His family may have moved a lot, but music was a constant companion in the Bowers family. When Bowers was 18, his family moved on to Nova Scotia, where Bowers attended university and built his musical career, releasing his first album there when he was 20.
