A nurse became the first person in Singapore to receive a coronavirus vaccination on Wednesday. More than 30 other health care workers at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) are also set to receive the jab, Channel News Asia reports. They are getting their first dose of the vaccine developed by Pfizer and German firm BioNTech. Those who receive the first dose on Wednesday are scheduled to return for their second dose on January 20 next year. Senior staff nurse Sarah Lim, 46, who received the first shot, is stationed at the Special Precaution Area at NCID’s Clinic J, and carries out screening for suspect coronavirus infections.
