Singapore became the first Asian country to kick off inoculation efforts against the novel coronavirus with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Wednesday. The country started its planned vaccination exercise with a group of healthcare workers getting the first shots. The Health Ministry's expert committee had recommended that persons at high risk of being infected, including healthcare workers and front-line workers, should be given priority for vaccination.
