The orange alert in Singapore means that the virus is severe and passes easily from person to person. Of the new cases reported in the city-state on Friday, one was a teacher. The number of new cases reported in China declined for a second day, World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.
