The boss of Rolls-Royce has resigned from the board of Dyson, two months after Sir James Dyson announced that his company was moving its headquarters from the UK to Singapore. Warren East, chief executive of Rolls-Royce, which makes engines for aeroplanes, warships and trains, said he could no longer serve as a part-time non-executive director at Dyson. One of Britain’s largest and most profitable private companies, Dyson made its name making vacuum cleaners and has committed to joining the race to produce electric cars.
