CHANDIGARH: After the Gurujam shock, the Haryana government may introduce a new governing model for Gurgaon on the lines of Singapore or Greater London. The idea behind so much deliberation is to ensure adoption of best model of local governance so that there is no lacunae in implementation of projects. Being the golden jubilee year, the state has already announced to organise mega events on the occasion. The officials feel that such a body will speed up the development of the city. Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and Jaipur Development Authority are among the Indian cities models studied by the committee.Former Haryana chief secretary M C Gupta recently visited London for the purpose.
