SINGAPORE: If you have been impressed by the Singapore Police Force's (SPF's) recent use of memes in their social media channels, be prepared to be blown away – Jurong Police Division has organised a crime prevention campaign with no less than The Pokemon Company. The campaign, which aims to spread messages on how to prevent crime with Pokemon characters during the March school holidays, was launched on Saturday (March 10) at Jurong Point. There were Pokemon game booths and crime prevention booths at the mall, and a Pikachu parade and dance was held there. ACP Koh said this is the first time the SPF is collaborating with The Pokemon Company in crime prevention. "With the appeal of the Pokemon characters, we hope to be able to reach out to more members of the public on crime prevention," he said.
