JOHOR BARU: Johor MCA handed over a letter to the Singapore consulate expressing concerns over the traffic congestion at the Causeway and the Second Link. Its Youth chief Ling Tian Soon said the letter was written in response to overwhelming complaints from travellers, especially those commuting to Singapore routinely for work. Malaysia and Singapore need to work together to solve the issue as it affects both countries and their citizens,” he said after delivering the letter to the Singapore consulate here accompanied by eight other members of Johor MCA. “Singapore and Malaysia are very dependent on each other in many ways including in economic growth. While there are no official statistics on the number of motorists using the Johor Causeway and Second Link, unofficial records show some 300,000 Malaysians, mostly motorcyclists, travel to Singapore daily, with 100,000 of them using the Johor Causeway.
