A weighted 25% of manufacturers surveyed think business conditions will improve over July-December, while 2% expect a deterioration, the Singapore Economic Development Board said Wednesday. That leaves a net weighted 23% of manufacturers anticipating improvement in the six-month period, the EDB added. Expectations among Singapore's services companies remained positive for the July-December period, the Department of Statistics said, noting upbeat sentiment across all industry sectors. A "net weighted balance" is used to indicate the likely overall direction of change of a particular activity or industry, the department said.
