Singapore-listed OUE Commercial REIT Ltd. and OUE Hospitality Trust Ltd. are in talks to merge in a deal that could place the combined entity among the top 10 real-estate investment trusts in the country with a market capitalization of nearly 3 billion Singapore dollars (US$2.22 billion), people with knowledge of the deal said Sunday. A potential merger between the two companies is aimed toward building a larger profile in terms of assets and would add to the latest spree of consolidation in Singapore’s real-estate market.
