Sing Street producer Barbara Broccoli cues up dramatic pause for the production


Barbara Broccoli, producer of the James Bond franchise, has decided to delay the Broadway adaptation of Sing Street until “some time between the winter of 2021 and 2022”. An adaptation of John Carney’s 2016 film about a high school band in Dublin, Sing Street was due to start performances on Broadway last March before it was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement released last week, Broccoli and her co-producers announced their intention to create “a proper runway” to launch the musical. “We will announce a new date to open on Broadway sometime between the winter of 2021 and 2022,” they said.
