KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has assured to extend all support for the advancement of IT infrastructure in Karachi University coupled with the upgradation of its technological labs functional in its varied departments. With regard to development in the fields of computer and information technology, Shah said this has changed the lives of human beings in an extremely stark manner. Mentioning that its effect has been well observed in spheres like medicines, education, infrastructure, electricity, aviation, information, computer, metallurgy, physics, nuclear energy, space technology, defense research, biotechnology, household, sports, job, tourism, agriculture and numerous other fields, Sindh CM said concerted efforts are needed across the country for its promotion. “Increase in cloud storage, cloud computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence well reflect that technology very soon would have a node to connect with our body and collect the data based on human activities in real time,” he said. Sindh CM said he had absolute confidence on the local talent, in particular, the context of computer science and thanked the keynote speakers, many comprising foreign experts, for sharing their experiences and knowledge with the young researchers of the country.
