For so many of us, the hiring process can be exhausting and expensive — even more so for small business owners without the support of a traditional human resources department. Luckily, there are simple practices to help you find the right individual to fit your company and culture. So many people think that the hiring process follows a simple paradigm: posting an opening, filling out an application, scheduling an interview and then landing a job. And if you think hiring shouldn’t seem transactional, I beg to differ. The cookie-cutter interviewing practices of yesterday often don’t result in hiring the right person the first time around.
