The Fire that is raging Simien Mountains is not still under control, according to a report by Amhara Mass Media Agency (AMMA) on Sunday. Eye witnesses who traveled to the scene to support the effort to put out the fire rather it has spread to extensive area. The labour intensive method to fight the fire is proven to be ineffective that nearly four days after it happened the fire is rather expanding to more areas in the Simien Mountains. Causes of it is not yet established but authorities seem to believe that it is an act of arson. So far 342 hectares of Simien Mountain land forest destroyed by the fire, according to authorities in the region who are in charge of the park.
