I was drowning in a life with two little ones under 2, an always-absent husband and various other stressors. But I did miss writing, or at least I thought I did, and felt like it was the perfect opportunity to document this busy mum life that everyone who has older children loves to say are the "best days of your life" that "go so fast". Eventually I settled on Cold Coffee – a name that I think summed up where I was at with life. I was fuelled by coffee, and at the time, alcohol was a pretty handy coping tool too, but more often than not, I would find myself settling on drinking cold coffee due to life getting in the way of drinking a fresh cuppa joe. The coffee was destined to sit there all day, sometimes overnight, only to be discovered as I go to put my next cold coffee in for a zap.
