Sick child forces two-hour quarantine at Christchurch AirportLOUIE DOUVIS/STUFF A Qantas plane was quarantined when it arrived in Christchurch on Saturday night. Passengers sat on a plane for two hours at Christchurch Airport after a health scare sparked by a sick child. Flight QF139 arrived in Christchurch from Sydney about 11pm on Saturday night but passengers were put in quarantine, a Christchurch Airport spokeswoman confirmed. It is understood passengers were allowed off at about 1am but the child had to stay on the plane. A St John Ambulance spokeswoman could not supply details of the illness but said two ambulances attended.
