Shyam Metalics & Energy has recently informed exchanges that the company has started operations at its new coke oven plant in Jamuria, West Bengal. The facility is meant to be environmentally friendly, with zero emissions and it generates power through waste heat recovery. The factory will provide high-quality coke for Shyam Metalics’ blast furnace, sinter plant, and ferroalloys facility. This backward integration will benefit the company’s bottom line by lowering expenses and giving it more control over the supply chain.
