Team India opener Shubman Gill, who suffered a shin stress fracture after the World Test Championship (WTC) final may be out of cricketing action for at least three months. The opening batsman has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series against England, but could also be out for a little longer. According to a report in Inside Sport, the stress fracture could keep Shubman Gill out of the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. Earlier, the news agency PTI had reported that Shubman Gill will miss two months of cricket. India will lock horns against the hosts England starting August 4 in a five-match Test series, which will also kick-off the World Test Championship's next cycle from 2021-23.
