KUALA LUMPUR: While there was a Malay celebrity who courted controversy recently for posing with a dog, award-winning actress Datin Seri Umie Aida attracted a different reaction with her own hound story. The 46-year-old artiste revealed that she has had a dog guarding her house since last year. Umie said that Blacky had earlier given birth to a puppy but the young one had died. Umie and her husband of nine years Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan, recently adopted a three-month-old baby girl named Nur Aisya. The Dukun star also has two adopted sons — Mohd Daniel Firdaus, 26, and Mohd Dzulhilmi, 25.
