Their third studio album, Love Yourself: Tear, released on May 18 created history when it became the album with the most units sold within a week in South Korea. Koreaboo reported that the data of album sales collected by Hanteo revealed that a million units of the album had been sold digitally. The album also broke record for clocking 1.5 million units for its pre-sale bookings made by fans and record vendors. Love Yourself: Tear contains eleven tracks, with Fake Love as its lead single. BTS which is made up of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook, also performed Fake Love at the awards show.
