Things get interesting when he is later found to have slit his own throat by the loaded novelist’s housekeeper, Fran (Edi Patterson). Craig pretty much stole the show with his flamboyant portrayal of the idiosyncratic Blanc complete with a thick Southern drawl. Knives Out is a fast paced and entertaining romp with interesting dialogue and engaging situations for the characters to be in. Although some of the roles were thinner than the rest, the competent cast were up to the task and delivered the goods. Those who love an intricate murder mystery with quirky charm and smarts that pays homage to the genre should give this one a stab.
