Gordon is currently in the midst of a four year, $52.89 million deal which he signed back in 2016. Thus, the Rockets could tack on only three additional seasons to Gordon's deal in an extension. Therefore, the Rockets could offer Gordon a deal which would pay him $16.87 million in 2020-2021, $18.22 million in 2021-2022, and $19.57 million in 2022-2023. Gordon started off completely cold last season, shooting 40.8% overall and 30.2% on 3's in the 7 games in October. If the Rockets were to extend Gordon under the terms outlined above, he could not be traded for another six months.
