Should Ontario’s sex-ed curriculum be changed? Yes, writes Scott Masson.

To listen to government supporters, parents unhappy with the sex-ed curriculum are ignorant of the dangers of sexting, the growth in human trafficking, and the early sexualization of children. But parents see serious harm in teaching their children the idea that sex, the most intimate of human relations, is morally neutral. Teaching consent to minors as a matter of saying “yes” or “no” to a list of sex options ignores human nature. The refusal to consult with families suggests that the disregard for love, marriage, or the family in the sex-ed curriculum was not accidental.
