The full statement issued on July 4, 2023:"We confirm that the Board has reviewed the film “Barbie” today, 04 July 2023. ABS-CBN also reported that Senator Francis Tolentino has urged the MTRCB to ban the same movie from local cinemas. "If the invalidated 9-dash line was indeed depicted in the movie Barbie, then it is incumbent upon the MTRCB to ban the same as it denigrates Philippine sovereignty,” Tolentino said.
