'Shot in the arm': Queenstown ready to welcome tourism back


Good news for some parts of the country, and bad news for others. The Government has revealed the whole country will move to the traffic light system when Auckland does in early December. Auckland's border will then open to anyone who's fully vaccinated or has returned a negative test, from December 15. Queenstown Lakes Mayor Jim Boult told Mike Hosking it's great news for his tourism-dependent district, which reached the 90 percent vaccination milestone yesterday. “We were hoping they’d signal a date, they have, because that enables businesses to get geared up employers to find folk et cetera.
