Shortland Street's Miss Congeniality is internationally known for being friendly. Like Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality, Te Ao had to be coerced into taking part in a pageant. "He just thought it was the most amazing thing," Te Ao smiles. Te Ao, who plays Wai in Shortland Street, makes time to study psychology. "I'm lucky," Te Ao insists, smiling.
