Shopkeepers should have a sense of brotherhood

Even after the Government announced the arrival of subsidised maize flour, there are reports that some traders are still selling it at a higher price. With their eyes on super profits, some are hoarding the flour so they can sell it when the prices are higher. All this is done at the expense of many poor Kenyans who cannot even afford the subsidised maize flour. While we understand the business people need to make profits, it should not be done at the expense of poor Kenyans. On the other hand, the Government must provide subsidised farm inputs to farmers to ensure we produce enough food.
