Ten people are dead and four other injured after a cartel shootout in a forested area of west Mexico today. Disturbing photographs from the scene in Uruapan municipality in the western state of Michoacan show piled bloodied bodies lying on the ground next to military-grade heavy-duty machine guns. The shootout took place around 2pm in the Uruapan municipality in the western Mexican state of MichoacanAccording to local media, the authorities found weapons and ammunition used by the Mexican Army which are currently being analysed. The night before, three civilians were killed and two cops were injured during a shootout in the municipality of Chilchota.
