Four people were wounded in a shooting outside a courthouse in Bridgeport, Conn., on Monday, and the assailant was seen fleeing in a stolen car, the police said. Three people were initially said to have been struck outside Bridgeport Superior Court, with a fourth injured person discovered soon after, the police said. All of the victims were being treated at local hospitals, and their conditions were not immediately available. People who were in the courthouse just after noon when the shooting occurred heard a barrage of gunfire outside and witnessed the mayhem that followed. “A car came up to the court and started shooting,” said Sam Kretzmer, a lawyer who was in the courthouse at the time.
