Shoretire made his first-team debut at the age of just 17 and still holds the record as the youngest player to represent United in European competition. A homegrown talent at a club like United is the next best thing until another soon emerges to take their place. Mainoo and Garnacho fit the criteria as elite talents; Shoretire should not be ashamed that he doesn't quite fit that bracket anymore. While the primary task of the club's illustrious academy is to produce talent for the first team, United also accept that it can be a money-making machine. It would make sense if Shoretire was one of the next to join them in exiting the club.
