Wednesday night’s game between the Blue Jays and the Angels was an incredible roller-coaster ride. They scored one run and despite some chances to tie it, couldn’t bring a second run home, losing the nail biter, 5-4. Clippard walked Angels’ star centrefielder Mike Trout with one out and then walked Justin Upton after Trout stole second — both on full counts. The next batter, Japanese sensation Shohei Ohtani, hit a single up the middle to score Trout and Upton, tying the game 3-3. The Angels asked for a review, but the play was not overturned and the Jays retained a 3-1 lead.
