The new playing surface of Yarrow Stadium will be a mix of natural grass and artificial fibre designed to last more than 15 years. A contract to use the hybrid ‘Grassmaster’ turf – a blend of natural turf grown with artificial fibre – was completed this week by stadium owner Taranaki Regional Council with Field Turf Auckland.
