In girls’ handball, Shimba Hills beat newcomers Kaya Tiwi 12-6 in a tough final after eliminating Ambassador Mwakwere 17-7 in the semi-finals. Kaya Tiwi saw off Kwale Girls 10-6 in another tough girls’ semi-finals in matches played at Kwale High School. Shimba Hills Secondary made light work of Waa Boys hitting them 22-5 to win the boys’ handball title after they had dismissed Ambassador Mwakwere 19-07 in the semi-finals. Kaya Tiwi, the reigning national basketball champions, were impressive as they finished the championships without conceding a point.
