Indeed Patel is pleased that he is walking into an entity, having fulfilled a dream of acquiring a football club, in which Albion are otherwise in good shape. There is no decision that can extrapolate the variance of outcome more greatly than in the hiring of a manager. Having grown up in the States, surrounded by baseball, basketball and the globally marketed NFL, Patel wished to branch out.
