Multiple sources within the Urey camp confirmed to FPA Friday that Mr. Urey finalized the breakaway following a recent visit to Accra, Ghana where he met with executives of the corporate giants. As part of the arrangement, Mr. Urey, according to sources successfully negotiated with the company to restore the three-day free call package which had become a thorn in his quest for the presidency. Subscribers were taken aback by a proposal from Mr. Urey and Lonestar/MTN pressing the government to impose taxes on free calls as a way of raising government revenue. In 2000 Urey was sanctioned by the United Nations for his alleged role in arms procurement and also ties to former President Charles Taylor. In December 2013, Urey was de-listed from the United Nations Sanction Lists.
