By Daymond SteerCONWAY — With only a few towns reporting by deadline Tuesday, it appeared that incumbent Carroll County Sheriff Domenic Richardi would thrash Wolfeboro businessman Luke Freudenberg at the polls. In the countywide race, unofficial results from Conway, and official results from Albany, Chatham, Madison, Effingham, Ossipee and Wakefield, showed Richardi was leading Freudenberg 1,658 to 347. Asked about the sheriff's race, DiGregorio said he supported incumbent Domenic Richardi of Conway over Luke Freudenberg of Wolfeboro who has no law enforcement experience. "I wanted to make sure Domenic Richardi had my vote," said Hylen adding he knows Richardi is an experienced lawman. Selectman Chair David Weathers was also most interested in the sheriff's race.
