Before leaving for Dhaka, Sheikh Hasina , Prime Minister of Bangladesh held a one-on-one meeting with Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee in a hotel in south Kolkata.The meeting between the Bangladeshi Prime Minister and Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has been described as a 'courtesy meeting' by sources in the government.According to the sources, the meeting between the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and chief minister Banerjee needed clearance from the MEA and it was duly cleared.Following the meeting chief minister Mamata Banerjee said that her government is willing to build a museum on Banga Bandhu's name. "Adding that she has always shared a cordial relationship with the Bangladeshi PM, Banerjee said, "We love each other a lot. I knew her when she was not Prime Minister. "Had there not been the armed struggle by Netaji Subhas Bose, India would not have achieved independence," said Sheikh Hasina after her first visit to Netaji Bhawan . However Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee skipped the event.
