A flight carrying Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana has landed in India’s Ghaziabad. BBC reports that Hasina initially left Bangladesh with her sister, Sheikh Rehana, in a helicopter headed for India’s Agartala. Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman announced her resignation around 4pm on Monday in a televised address. Despite retaining power in the last three elections amid several controversies, she resigned from her post on Monday in the face of a mass anti-government movement.
