Shehbaz, Hamza indicted in Ramzan Sugar Mills case
Accountability court summons witnesses in next hearing to record statementsLAHORE: An accountability court in Lahore indicted PML-N leaders Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz in the Ramzan Sugar Mills corruption reference on Monday. The father and son – opposition leaders in the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly respectively – pleaded not guilty to the charges. NAB arrests Ramzan Sugar Mills top officialJanjua said NAB maintained that government funds were used to build a nullah catering to the needs of the sugar mill owned by the Sharifs. At this statement, Shehbaz attempted to speak but was prevented by the court. The court indicted Shehbaz and Hamza in the case and summoned witnesses to record statements in the next hearing.
